About Juniper Bush

Juniperus communis, the common juniper, is a remarkably versatile evergreen conifer with the largest geographical range of any woody plant. It exhibits a highly variable growth habit, ranging from low-spreading prostrate mats to upright columnar trees. Its distinctive needle-like foliage grows in whorls of three, featuring a prominent white stomatal band. This hardy species thrives in well-drained soils and full sun, producing iconic blue-black berry-like cones used to flavor gin.
