About Catalina Island liveforever

Dudleya formosa, commonly known as the La Misión liveforever, is a rare succulent native to the basaltic cliffs of Baja California. This species is distinguished by its bright green, non-glaucous rosettes that form low-growing, prostrate mounds. The leaves are often tinged with red at the tips, especially when exposed to bright light. In spring, it produces striking red floral stems topped with clusters of pink, star-shaped flowers. It thrives in well-draining soil and prefers coastal conditions with filtered sunlight or partial shade.
