About Oregon Ash

Fraxinus latifolia, commonly known as Oregon ash, is a medium-sized deciduous tree reaching heights of 65 to 80 feet. It exhibits a rapid growth habit in its youth, eventually developing a broad, rounded crown. The foliage consists of large, pinnately compound leaves with five to nine leaflets that turn a vibrant yellow in autumn. Thriving in moist, riparian corridors and poorly drained soils, it is frequently used for stream bank restoration, shade, and high-quality firewood or tool handles.
