About Salmonberry

Rubus spectabilis, known as Salmonberry, is a vigorous deciduous shrub native to the moist coastal forests of western North America. It features an upright, thicket-forming habit with perennial woody stems covered in fine prickles. The attractive trifoliate leaves are dark green with serrated margins. In spring, it produces showy pink flowers followed by edible, raspberry-like fruits. It thrives in moist, acidic soils and is excellent for bank stabilization, erosion control, and wildlife gardens.
