About Coastal Rosemary

Westringia fruticosa, commonly known as Coastal Rosemary, is a versatile and hardy evergreen shrub native to the coast of eastern Australia. It features dense, whorled, grey-green foliage that closely resembles rosemary, though it lacks the scent. This fast-growing plant produces small, white to pale mauve flowers throughout the year, peaking in spring. It is exceptionally salt-tolerant and wind-resistant, making it ideal for coastal hedging, screening, or as a low-maintenance specimen in drought-tolerant landscapes. It thrives in full sun to part shade and well-drained soil.
