Tulips

We’ve currently got about 150 different tulip options for your use in our plant library. With such a large amount of options comes a vast variety to choose from–there are tulips in just about every color, a wide range of heights, bloom types, and bloom stages.

As you scroll through the tulips in the library, you may notice some are labeled as ‘double late’ or ‘double early’. Unsurprisingly, the ‘early’ and ‘late’ refer to which part of the spring season they bloom. The ‘double’ in their name means that these tulips are the peony flower type–full, frilly, and large.

‘Single’ tulips are the iconic tulip look–the cup-shaped springtime classic. The library contains a large selection of these tulips, as well–both early- and late-blooming.

Another variety that you’ll find in the library is the ‘lily-flowered’ tulip. These tulips have a relaxed goblet look with pointed petals.

While you’re planning out your garden beds for bulb-planting, using the ‘early’ and ‘late’ identifiers can help you stagger out your planting in a way that will have your garden full of blooming tulips through the entire season.

With this wide variety of tulip types, we’re certain you’ll find plenty of unique tulips to incorporate into your fall planting, and a beautiful showing in the spring!
