Verification
From application to workspace
- 1An educator or school administrator submits the application below.
- 2SimplyScapes manually verifies the institution, your authority to apply, and the teaching or learning use. A school email address is not required and does not guarantee approval.
- 3If approved, SimplyScapes manually creates or converts the Education workspace and invites its first administrator.
- 4The administrator manages access through Settings > People. Invitees join as Members by default. Every invitation batch requires a fresh confirmation of authority and of any student's eligibility and age of at least 13; valid invitations then send immediately.
For students
Access comes through your school
SimplyScapes Education access is provided through verified schools. Ask an educator or school administrator at your school to apply and invite you. Student access is available only to students age 13 or older. SimplyScapes does not verify ages.
Before inviting a student, the educator or school administrator is responsible for confirming that the student is eligible and at least 13, and obtaining any approvals required by school policy or applicable law. Read the Children’s Privacy section.
Education questions
Who can apply?
A current educator, instructional administrator, or school/program administrator with authority to apply for a real K–12 school, college or university, vocational/technical program, or other recognized education program.
Do I need an .edu or .gov email address?
No. We review the applicant, institution, current role, and intended teaching or learning use. A school-domain address can support the review, but no email suffix creates automatic approval or rejection.
How do students get access?
Students age 13 or older receive access through a verified school's Education workspace and cannot apply directly. Once SimplyScapes provisions the workspace, its administrator can invite people from Settings > People. Every invitation batch requires confirmation that the inviter is authorized and any student included is eligible and at least 13.
Can a facilities or grounds department use Education for free?
No. Operational property management, facilities work, and grounds maintenance require a standard paid workspace. Education access is reserved for teaching and learning.
What does Education cost?
Verified Education access is provided at no charge for eligible teaching and learning. It includes the same capabilities and usage limits as a Plus/Professional workspace. No paid subscription is required.
Does SimplyScapes verify student ages?
No. The educator or administrator is responsible for confirming that each student is eligible and at least 13 before an invitation is sent. Under-13 access is not part of this release.
