About Korean Fir

Abies koreana, the Korean fir, is a slow-growing evergreen conifer known for its elegant pyramidal form and dense, brush-like foliage. Its short, blunt needles are a lustrous dark green on top with brilliant silvery-white undersides that create a shimmering effect in the wind. A standout feature is the production of upright, violet-purple cones even on very young specimens. It thrives in cool, moist, well-drained acidic soils and is ideal for small gardens or as a specimen tree.
