About Full Moon Japanese Maple Tree

Acer japonicum, known as the Fullmoon Maple, is a small deciduous tree or large shrub reaching 20 to 30 feet. It features a spreading, often multi-trunked habit with distinctive rounded, palmate leaves that boast 7 to 13 serrated lobes. In spring, small purplish-red flowers emerge, followed by winged samaras. The foliage is celebrated for its spectacular autumn transformation into shades of orange and dark red. It thrives in moist, well-drained soil and sheltered locations.
