Crimson Queen Japanese Maple

‘Crimson Queen’ is a red-leaved laceleaf Japanese maple with finely divided foliage and a low, cascading crown. Its red-purple leaves color the garden from spring into summer, then turn orange-red to scarlet in autumn. ## Landscape use and seasonal interest Allow room for branches to spread as a specimen in a courtyard, near a patio, or along a sheltered bed edge. Full sun can suit cooler locations; in hot-summer areas, afternoon shade and steady soil moisture help reduce scorch risk. Remove only misplaced or damaged branches, pruning selectively to preserve the cascading form.
