About New Vintage™ Rose Yarrow

New Vintage™ Rose is an upright yarrow with deep rose flower clusters and aromatic green foliage. [Ball/Darwin](https://www.darwinperennials.com/Products/Details/?phid=000406781004669) lists flowering from late spring through autumn; summer is the main display, with bloom timing and plant size influenced by climate and growing conditions. ## Landscape use Use it in sunny borders, mass plantings, or containers, and cut stems for fresh or dried arrangements. Its flowers attract bees and butterflies, and the cultivar is listed as deer resistant. The foliage has a light aromatic quality. ## Size and siting [Darwin](https://www.darwinperennials.com/Products/Details/?phid=000406781004669) and Proven Winners list a mature height of 26–28 inches and spread of 10–12 inches. [Gulley Greenhouse’s wholesale catalog](https://www.gulleygreenhouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/2025-Gulley-Greenhouse-Wholesale-Catalog.pdf) independently gives the same height. Allow room for the flowering stems above the foliage. The cultivar denomination is ‘Balvinrose’; its [plant patent PP25712](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP25712P2/en) was granted on July 14, 2015. ## Water and soil Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Water during establishment; [RHS guidance](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/achillea) notes established yarrow tolerates dry periods. Avoid persistently wet ground. ## Maintenance Remove faded flower stems after the first flush to encourage additional flowering. Trim old stems and untidy foliage in spring.
