Create design onlineAbout New Vintage™ White Yarrow
New Vintage™ White is an upright yarrow with white flower clusters and green, aromatic foliage. [Ball/Darwin](https://www.darwinperennials.com/Products/Details/?phid=000406781005863) lists flowering from late spring through autumn, with summer as the main display; flowering may continue later when faded stems are removed.
## Landscape use
Use it in sunny borders, mass plantings, or containers, and cut stems for fresh or dried arrangements. The blooms attract bees and butterflies, while the cultivar is listed as deer resistant. Its pale flowers combine well with the red, rose, and violet selections in the New Vintage series.
## Size and siting
[Darwin](https://www.darwinperennials.com/Products/Details/?phid=000406781005863) and Proven Winners list a mature height of 26–28 inches and spread of 10–12 inches. [Gulley Greenhouse’s wholesale catalog](https://www.gulleygreenhouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/2025-Gulley-Greenhouse-Wholesale-Catalog.pdf) independently gives the same height. Allow room for the flowering stems above the foliage. The cultivar denomination is ‘Balvinwite’; its [plant patent PP25711](https://patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/2b/48/26/0bfaa0420b635c/USPP25711.pdf) was granted on July 14, 2015.
## Water and soil
Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Water during establishment, then reduce irrigation as the plant becomes established. [RHS guidance](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/achillea) notes established yarrow tolerates dry conditions; avoid persistently wet soil.
## Maintenance
Cut back faded flower stems after the first flush to encourage additional bloom. Remove old stems and tidy foliage in spring.
