Azure Monkshood

Aconitum fischeri, commonly known as Fischer's Monkshood, is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial prized for its late-season interest. It features upright, sturdy stems that typically do not require staking, reaching heights of two to three feet. In late summer and autumn, it produces dense panicles of hooded, lavender-blue flowers above glossy, deeply divided dark green foliage. This plant thrives in moist, organically rich, well-drained soils and is highly resistant to both deer and rabbits.
