Aesculus parviflora is a dense, mounded, suckering deciduous shrub that typically grows 8 to 12 feet tall and spreads even wider. It features striking palmate green leaves that turn a vibrant yellow in autumn. In mid-summer, it produces spectacular, erect white flower panicles with red anthers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. This native thrives in rich, moist, well-drained soils in part to full shade, making it an excellent choice for woodland borders or as a specimen.
