About Golden Jubilee Hyssop

Golden Jubilee is a Korean mint selection valued for aromatic, golden-chartreuse leaves and lavender-blue flower spikes. It brings foliage contrast from spring and a clear flower display in midsummer. AAS reports plants about 20 inches tall and 10–15 inches wide. ## Landscape Use Place it where the bright foliage can contrast with green or purple leaves, such as a sunny border, herb garden, or container. Its branching form and colorful leaves make it useful even before flowers open. ## Seasonal Interest The [AAS cultivar profile](https://all-americaselections.org/product/agastache-golden-jubilee/) describes dense lavender-blue flowers in mid to late summer and leaves that release a mint scent when lightly crushed. [UW–Madison Extension](https://hort.extension.wisc.edu/articles/anise-hyssop-agastache-foeniculum/) identifies Golden Jubilee as a selection of Agastache rugosa (Korean mint), not A. foeniculum, despite the occasional label. The same Extension article notes that this cultivar has not been very attractive to pollinators, so avoid relying on it as a primary pollinator plant. ## Siting and Soil Full sun or partial shade is suitable. The AAS profile describes this cultivar for full sun or partial shade. ## Maintenance Keep the soil draining freely; remove spent spikes if you want a tidier outline or to encourage additional bloom. [All-America Selections describes Golden Jubilee as easily grown and undemanding](https://all-americaselections.org/product/agastache-golden-jubilee/). Local soil and winter moisture conditions affect performance.
