Agastache ‘Pink Pearl’ is a compact perennial with large, light pink flower spikes and deeper-colored buds that create a two-tone effect. The cultivar was selected for dense flowers, hardiness, and a full but compact habit. Its long display suits the middle or front of a sunny border, and the breeder also recommends it for containers.
## Size and placement
[Terra Nova’s cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/agastache-pink-pearl/) lists mature foliage height, spread, and flowering height at about 8, 16, and 16 inches, with flowers beginning in June and continuing through September; [U.S. plant patent PP36637](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP36637P3/en) describes bloom from June until frost in Canby, Oregon. It is hardy in USDA Zones 6–10. Grow it in full sun and fertile, well-drained soil, with excellent winter drainage. The breeder reports drought tolerance once established, hummingbird attraction, and fragrant foliage and flowers. Local bloom timing varies by climate.
## Seasonal interest
Pink Pearl’s dense spikes provide the main seasonal effect; the green foliage forms a compact mound below them. Use repeated plants along a border or place one in a container where the flowers can be viewed at close range. The patent also notes that each flower spike lasts about four weeks, while successive spikes extend the overall display.
## Maintenance
Water during establishment, then reduce watering as roots settle into the site. Avoid persistently wet winter soil; good drainage is the key cultural requirement identified by the breeder.
