About POQUITO® Lavender Agastache

[Terra Nova’s cultivar profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/agastache-poquito-lavender/) describes POQUITO® ‘Lavender’ as a compact, mounding perennial with bright lavender-pink flower spikes over green foliage. Terra Nova lists flowers from May through October, giving this selection a long display from late spring into fall; its dense habit also makes it useful in smaller beds and containers. ## Size and placement The breeder lists about 11 inches of foliage, 15 inches of spread, and 14 inches to the flowering top; [UC Davis Arboretum](https://arboretum.ucdavis.edu/sites/g/files/dgvnsk1546/files/inline-files/Oct_21_2023_Inventory_1.pdf) also includes the cultivar in its collection. It is hardy in USDA Zones 5–10 and performs in sunny borders, mixed beds, and containers. The [Royal Horticultural Society](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/501269/agastache-poquito-lavender-tnagapl-poquito-series/details) identifies the trade selection as ‘TNAGAPL’ and places it in the mint family. ## Growing conditions Plant it in full sun and well-drained soil. Drainage is particularly important during winter; Terra Nova notes that the plant tolerates drought once established. The flowers attract pollinators, including hummingbirds, and the breeder lists the cultivar as deer resistant. It is part of Terra Nova’s POQUITO® series; [U.S. plant patent PP30530](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP30530P2/en) identifies the cultivar. The foliage remains green, while the long bloom period supplies the main seasonal color. ## Maintenance Keep the crown in a free-draining site and water regularly through establishment. Once rooted, it tolerates dry spells. Cut back old stems in spring when fresh growth appears; routine deadheading is optional, and leaving later flower spikes extends the display into autumn.
