About Native Roots Hyssop

Agastache rupestris, known as Sunset Hyssop, is a resilient, clump-forming perennial native to the Southwest. It features fine, thread-like gray-green foliage that releases a distinct licorice or root-beer aroma when brushed. From mid-summer through fall, it produces striking spikes of tubular, sunset-orange flowers that attract hummingbirds and bees. This xeric plant thrives in full sun and requires well-drained, gritty soil to prevent rot, making it ideal for rock gardens and water-wise beds.
