Sunrise™ Red Hyssop

Sunrise™ Red is a long-flowering Agastache hybrid with upright spikes of coral-red, tubular flowers above fragrant foliage. It brings summer-to-fall color to sunny borders and containers and is especially useful where hummingbirds and other pollinators are welcome. ## Garden Use and Season The cultivar is sold as part of the Sunrise™ series. Acorn Farms identifies the plant as Agastache × hybrida 'Sunrise™ Red' and lists it at 18–24 inches tall and 15–18 inches wide; Bluestone Perennials also lists it at 18–24 inches high and reports flowering from early summer to early fall. Coral-red tubular flowers are visited by hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. The fragrant leaves can also be used to flavor drinks. ## Siting Plant in full sun and well-drained soil. Bluestone Perennials describes the cultivar as drought-tolerant and advises avoiding overwatering once established; Acorn Farms recommends full sun and very well-drained soil. The upright flower spikes suit mixed borders, rock gardens, and containers, and can be cut for arrangements. ## Maintenance Deadhead during the growing season to encourage rebloom.
