Create design onlineAbout Sunrise™ Violet Agastache
Sunrise™ Violet is a Green Fuse Botanicals color selection from the Sunrise Agastache series. It forms a compact, upright mound with fragrant foliage and violet flower spikes held above the leaves. Penn State’s 2018 flower trial evaluated the named Violet selection in a sunny container setting, and a regional nursery lists it for perennial gardens.
## Garden Use and Conditions
Plan for about 19–24 inches of height. Penn State recorded 19 inches tall and 27 inches wide in its trial, while a regional nursery lists 24 by 18 inches; these are trial and nursery dimensions rather than a universal mature size. Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. Green Fuse advises thorough watering followed by a drying interval, avoiding persistently wet media. Use it in a sunny border, pollinator planting, or patio container.
## Flowering and Series
Penn State recorded the named Sunrise Violet selection with violet flowers and flowering ratings from July through early September. Valley Nursery independently identifies it as Agastache x 'Sunrise Violet' in the Sunrise Series, lists a July–September bloom period, and gives zone 5. [Green Fuse Botanicals](https://green-fuse.com/new/agastache-sunrise/) provides breeder-series culture guidance; [Penn State’s flower-trial page](https://agsci.psu.edu/flower-trials/Plant-Name/Agastache-Sunrise-Violet) documents the named selection.
## Maintenance
Water new plants as roots establish. Once growing well, let the soil surface dry between waterings and avoid winter-wet conditions. Remove faded spikes if a tidy appearance is preferred. No recurring pruning schedule is specified by the breeder.
