Agastache ‘Sunrise™ Yellow’ is a compact perennial selection in Green Fuse Botanicals’ First Light® Sunrise™ series. It produces upright spikes of soft yellow flowers above aromatic green foliage, bringing a bright, extended display to sunny borders and patio containers. The cultivar’s compact scale suits the front or middle of a mixed planting.
## Flowers and garden role
Penn State’s 2018 Sun Container Trial recorded yellow flowers and plants about 23 inches tall by 25 inches wide. Its trial notes document flowering from July through September, while Green Fuse describes the broader Sunrise series as flowering through autumn. The green, scented foliage and repeated flower spikes make it useful in pollinator gardens as well as containers; Sunrise-series sources report visits from hummingbirds and other pollinators.
## Growing conditions
Give it full sun and well-drained soil. Green Fuse’s crop guidance advises thorough watering followed by drying between irrigations and cautions against keeping the medium persistently wet. Sunrise-series growing guidance describes drought tolerance once established, so young plants need regular water until roots settle in. Published hardiness references place Sunrise selections in Zone 5 and warmer; local winter moisture and exposure can affect perennial performance.
## Maintenance
Remove faded flower stems when needed to keep the plant tidy and encourage continued bloom.
