About Utah Agave

Agave utahensis is a remarkably cold-hardy succulent that forms compact, symmetrical rosettes of stiff, blue-green leaves adorned with sharp marginal teeth and long terminal spines. Reaching about one foot in height, this desert native is prized for its architectural form and dramatic yellow flower spikes that can soar up to fifteen feet. Ideal for rock gardens, it thrives in full sun and well-drained, gritty soil. This low-maintenance species is exceptionally drought-tolerant once established.
