Crested Wheatgrass

Agropyron cristatum, commonly known as Crested Wheatgrass, is a long-lived, cool-season perennial bunchgrass native to the steppes of Eurasia. It is characterized by its densely tufted growth habit and distinctive, flattened, comb-like seed heads. Highly valued for its extreme drought tolerance and winter hardiness, it is frequently used for soil stabilization, rangeland restoration, and erosion control in arid climates. It thrives in well-drained soils and full sun exposure, forming dense stands.
