About Elephant Ear

Alocasia is a genus of stunning rhizomatous perennials prized for their dramatic, oversized foliage. Often called Elephant’s Ears, these plants feature heart- or arrow-shaped leaves with prominent veining and a variety of textures, from velvety to glossy. Native to tropical Asia and Australia, they thrive in high humidity and warm temperatures. They are popular as bold houseplants or architectural garden accents in frost-free climates, requiring well-draining soil and indirect light to flourish.
