Aloidendron ramosissimum is an accepted succulent shrub or small tree native to southwestern Namibia and the Northern Cape. Kew records Aloe ramosissima as a synonym, while NParks uses Maiden’s Quiver Tree and describes a compact shrub with rosettes at the branch tips and yellow tubular flowers. [Kew Plants of the World Online](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:77125493-1) and [NParks Flora & Fauna Web](https://www.nparks.gov.sg/florafaunaweb/flora/3/5/3526) support the identity and the cultivation notes below.
## Form and placement
NParks describes plants up to about 1.2 m tall, with a wax-covered stem and thick leaves gathered in terminal rosettes. It recommends full sun, little water, and well-drained soil, and identifies drought tolerance, desert or arid climate suitability, and rockery or desert-garden use. These are site-level recommendations; provide reliable drainage and room for the plant’s shrub-like form. NParks also notes that prolonged hot, humid exposure can lead to dormancy.
## Maintenance
Use a freely draining root zone and limit watering in keeping with NParks’ “little water” guidance. Protect the plant from prolonged hot, humid conditions, which NParks says may trigger dormancy. The directly opened pages do not establish a flowering season or a bird-attraction claim, so those are not included.
