Alyssum wulfenianum ‘Golden Spring’ is a low, spreading perennial with bright yellow flowers above gray-green foliage. Darwin Perennials lists it for early spring and spring bloom, with drought and rabbit tolerance.
## Seasonal color and size
Expect clusters of yellow flowers in spring. Darwin Perennials reports a mature height of 6–8 inches and spread of 12–14 inches, and lists USDA Zones 4a–9b. The spreading habit can suit the front of a sunny border or a rock garden.
## Siting
Provide full sun and well-drained soil. Water new plants as they establish, then adjust irrigation to weather and soil. See the [Darwin Perennials cultivar page](https://www.darwinperennials.com/Products/Details/?phid=003605690021313) for cultivar traits and the [U.S. plant patent record](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP25710P2/en) for the patent number and 2015-07-14 grant date.
## Maintenance
Keep soil porous and remove damaged growth as needed.
