Anemone PUFF® ‘Pink’ is a compact, clumping Japanese anemone selected for pompon flowers that open rose-pink and age toward silvery pink. Its relatively short flowering stems bring late-summer and fall color to border fronts, small gardens, and cut-flower plantings.
## Flowers and size
The [Terra Nova Nurseries profile](https://www.terranovanurseries.com/product/anemone-puff-pink/) identifies the exact cultivar, lists USDA zones 4–9, and describes pink pompon flowers from July through October. Its size data gives 12 inches of foliage height, 12 inches of spread, and 24-inch flowering stems. The independent [Overdevest Nurseries profile](https://grownbyoverdevest.com/plant/puff-pink-anemone/) also identifies PUFF® ‘Pink’ and lists a clumping habit, green foliage, pink flowers, and a 12-inch spread; it gives a broader height range of 12–24 inches. This supports a modest plant footprint while allowing for taller flower stems.
## Siting
Grow in sun to partial shade in average soil that remains moist but drains freely. Terra Nova advises that garden soil be relatively well drained; do not interpret its preference for moisture as tolerance of standing water. The cultivar works at the front or middle of a bed, where the flowers can rise above neighboring foliage, and the breeder notes that stems are long enough for cutting.
## Maintenance
Water consistently while the plant establishes and during extended dry weather, then avoid keeping the root zone saturated. Remove damaged leaves and spent stems when needed to keep the clump tidy. Leave enough room for the flowering stems to emerge above nearby plants, and divide only if the clump becomes crowded.
