About Angelface® Super White Summer Snapdragon

Angelface® Super White (‘Ansuwhi’) is a tall, upright summer snapdragon with white flower spikes and green foliage. It adds a bright vertical accent to sunny borders and large containers, flowering from spring through fall in warm weather. ## Form and placement [Proven Winners lists a mature height of 30–40 inches and a spread of 12–16 inches](https://www.provenwinners.com/p/10732). The narrow upright footprint suits the back of a border or the thriller position in a large container; the flowers can also be cut for arrangements. The registered cultivar is ‘Ansuwhi’; U.S. Plant Patent 29,490 was granted July 10, 2018. ## Siting Plant in [full sun after temperatures warm in spring](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/angelonia-angustifolia/). Angelonia prefers fertile, well-drained soil and regular moisture while establishing. The breeder describes Angelface plants as [heat tolerant and able to handle some drought after establishment](https://www.provenwinners.com/p/10732). In regions with cold winters, this cultivar is grown as a warm-season annual. ## Maintenance Water new plants regularly and keep container soil from drying completely during hot weather. The cultivar is self-cleaning, so routine deadheading is not needed. A modest amount of compost or fertilizer supports flowering; avoid heavy feeding that produces excess foliage. Remove damaged stems as needed.
