About Angelflare cranberry snapdragon

AngelFlare™ Cranberry is a compact summer snapdragon with deep red flower spikes and a semi-upright, open habit. Ball FloraPlant identifies its cultivar as ‘Balangflran’ and describes it as a season-extending Angelonia for warm-weather combinations. ## Garden Use and Season Expect a plant about 8–12 inches tall and 12–18 inches wide. Its rich red flowers suit sunny borders and containers, especially where a low flowering accent can sit in front of taller summer plants. Angelonia angustifolia is valued for its long summer flowering; NC State Extension recommends the species for borders, groups, and containers. ## Growing Conditions Choose full sun and fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Angelonia thrives in heat and humidity once established. Water new plants consistently, then allow the soil to drain between waterings; plants in pots dry more quickly than those in garden beds. It is a tender perennial in warm areas and is commonly treated as an annual in colder climates. Ball FloraPlant lists the cultivar denomination ‘Balangflran’ and protection number PP35,843. No patent date or current legal-status claim is made here. See the [Ball FloraPlant cultivar page](https://www.ballfloraplant.com/Products/Details/?phid=004910073001322) and [NC State Extension profile](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/angelonia-angustifolia/). ## Maintenance Plant once the weather is warm and water during establishment. The species generally continues flowering without deadheading. Check foliage periodically for aphids or powdery mildew, and avoid soggy soil that can encourage root disease.
