Alonia™ Big Bicolor Pink Improved is an upright, large-flowered Angelonia in Danziger’s ALONIA™ series, selected for pink-and-white blooms. Danziger describes it as early flowering and heat tolerant, with a larger stature than its medium ALONIA™ selections.
## Flowers and Landscape Use
Use this compact, upright plant in sunny borders, grouped plantings, or mixed patio containers where its bicolor flower spikes can stand above lower companions. The breeder lists mature dimensions of 14–16 inches tall by 12–14 inches wide and identifies it as suitable for pots and landscape use. Angelonia generally flowers through summer and into fall in warm conditions. ## Siting
Plant in full sun and fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Angelonia handles summer heat and humidity; it is generally grown as a warm-season annual in colder regions and may persist as a perennial in mild climates.
## Maintenance
Keep evenly watered while roots establish and during extended dry spells. NC State reports that angelonia does not require deadheading. Check for aphids and powdery mildew, particularly in crowded or poorly ventilated plantings.
