Serenita® Purple Angelonia

Serenita® Purple is a compact Angelonia angustifolia selection from PanAmerican Seed’s Serenita® series, identified by product code PAS803822. Its purple flower spikes suit sunny borders, edging, and containers, and the breeder lists plants 12–14 inches tall and wide. ## Flowering and placement NC State Extension describes Serenita Purple as compact, with vibrant purple flowers on spikes; Angelonia angustifolia commonly flowers from early summer into fall. Plant it as a repeated edging or small-bedding accent, or use it in a container where its upright stems can rise above lower annuals. ## Growing conditions Give the plant full sun and fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Angelonia tolerates summer heat and humidity, but steady moisture supports flowering during hot spells; do not leave roots in waterlogged soil. In colder regions, it is often grown as an annual because container plants can be difficult to overwinter indoors. ## Maintenance Water after planting and during extended dry weather, then let excess drain freely.
