Create design onlineAbout Serena® White Angelonia
Serena® White is an upright, compact angelonia that carries white snapdragon-like flowers from late spring into late summer. [PanAmerican Seed]( ) lists it as a Serena® F1 seed variety for landscape beds, borders, and mixed containers.
## Landscape use
The columnar, mounded habit makes it useful as a repeated light-colored accent among lower or darker plants. The [PanAmerican Seed profile]( ) gives a mature size of 16–20 inches tall and 12–14 inches wide and notes that Serena plants may grow larger in very warm, humid climates.
## Seasonal interest and siting
Expect flowering from late spring through summer and late summer. Grow in full sun in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. [NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/angelonia-angustifolia/) notes that angelonia handles summer heat and humidity and does not need deadheading. Water through establishment; once established, it can tolerate dry periods, especially with organic matter and mulch, as described by [UF/IFAS](https://gardeningsolutions.ifas.ufl.edu/plants/ornamentals/angelonia/). In regions with cold winters, it is normally used as a seasonal annual.
## Maintenance
[Ball Seed's cultivar record]() lists Serena White as low maintenance, heat tolerant, and resistant to deer and rabbits. Keep soil draining freely, and look for aphids or powdery mildew during humid weather. Remove broken stems when needed; routine flower removal is unnecessary.
