About Filigree Daisy

Filigree Daisy is a low perennial with a carpet of fine, silvery foliage and yellow, daisy-like flowers. The combination of a spreading foliage layer and flowers held above it suits rock gardens, the front of a border, and other sunny or lightly shaded spaces where a compact plant is useful. ## Appearance and placement Red Butte Garden lists *Anthemis marschalliana* as a 10-inch-tall by 24-inch-wide perennial with yellow to gold flowers and low water needs. Its photographs show bright yellow flower heads over finely divided gray-green to silvery foliage. Conservation Garden Park describes a carpet of semi-evergreen silver foliage and long-lasting sulfur-yellow flowers in spring, with full sun or part-shade exposure. See the [Red Butte Garden profile](https://redbuttegarden.org/plants/species/1195/) and [Conservation Garden Park profile](https://conservationgardenpark.jvwcd.gov/plants/1418/filigree-daisy). ## Growing conditions Give the plant room to spread into a low foliage mat. The garden references place it in sunny settings and report low irrigation needs; conserve water by watering to establish roots, then adjusting to local soil and rainfall. ## Maintenance Remove spent flower stems if a tidier look or possible rebloom is desired, and clear dead foliage when growth resumes. Avoid burying the crown under mulch.
