Monaco Violet is a violet-flowered snapdragon in PanAmerican Seed’s Monaco F1 series, selected for flower spikes during seasonal transitions. PanAmerican lists a 32–60-inch product height and separately reports 39–60-inch stems for greenhouse or high-tunnel production; those crop measurements do not establish mature garden height.
## Flowers and harvest
Use this selection for tall cut stems and vertical line in bouquets. The [PanAmerican cultivar page](https://www.panamseed.com/products/057800949005764/snapdragon-monaco-violet/) lists 39–60-inch stems for greenhouse or high-tunnel production. The [Monaco catalog page](https://catalog.panamseed.com/view/445948364/190/) lists Violet among the series colors and describes harvest and post-harvest handling.
## Siting
Grow in sun. PanAmerican recommends Monaco for late-summer/autumn and late-winter/early-spring transition harvests, with performance in moderate temperatures and little day-length fluctuation. The [RHS species profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/69565/antirrhinum-majus/details) gives broader guidance for sunny, well-drained sites.
## Maintenance
For garden-grown plants, remove spent spikes to prolong flowering, following RHS species guidance. After cutting, keep stems upright during handling and storage to reduce curling, as PanAmerican recommends.
