About Opus™ III Pink Antirrhinum

Opus III Pink is an upright snapdragon selected for cut-flower production, with rose-pink spikes and strong stems. Syngenta identifies this exact selection as product 70018063 in the Opus series and places the Group III/IV crop for late spring through early fall; its listed garden dimensions are 100–110 cm tall and 35–40 cm wide ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/apac/product/flower/70018063)). ## In the garden The tall flower spikes add a vertical accent to sunny borders and can be cut for arrangements. The breeder lists a 12–15 day expected vase life. *Antirrhinum majus* is a short-lived perennial commonly grown as an annual; NC State Extension describes snapdragons as useful in borders, containers, and cutting gardens and notes that tall selections may need support ([NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/antirrhinum-majus/)). ## Growing conditions Choose full sun or light afternoon shade and moist, fertile soil that drains well. Keep plants watered during dry spells: NC State reports low drought tolerance and advises avoiding overhead watering. The species is susceptible to rust and other fungal problems. Kew places *A. majus* in Plantaginaceae ([Plants of the World Online](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:799180-1)). ## Maintenance Remove faded flower spikes to tidy the planting; this may also encourage another flush. Stake exposed plants if their flowering stems lean, and water at soil level to help foliage dry quickly.
