Create design onlineAbout Opus™ III Yellow Antirrhinum
Opus III Yellow is an upright, yellow-flowered snapdragon bred for cut-flower production. Syngenta identifies the cultivar as product 70018064 in the Opus series, classifies it in Group III/IV for late-spring to early-fall crops, and lists garden dimensions of 100–110 cm tall by 35–40 cm wide ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/apac/product/flower/70018064)).
## In the garden
Its tall yellow spikes bring vertical color to sunny borders and also provide long stems for floral arrangements. Syngenta reports a 12–15 day expected vase life. *Antirrhinum majus* is a short-lived perennial commonly grown as an annual; NC State Extension lists snapdragons for borders, containers, and cutting gardens, with tall selections sometimes needing support ([NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/antirrhinum-majus/)).
## Growing conditions
Plant in full sun, or provide light shade where afternoons are hot, in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Water during dry periods because NC State reports low drought tolerance. Avoid overhead irrigation where practical; wet foliage and humid conditions can aggravate rust and other fungal issues. Kew recognizes *A. majus* in Plantaginaceae ([Plants of the World Online](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:799180-1)).
## Maintenance
Remove faded flower spikes to keep the planting neat; this may also encourage rebloom. Support tall stems if they begin to lean, and direct water toward the soil rather than the leaves.
