Overture II Pink is an upright, pink-flowered snapdragon developed for cut-flower production. Syngenta identifies the cultivar as product 70018078 in the Overture series and lists it in Group II for spring and fall crops; its garden dimensions are 100–110 cm tall and 35–40 cm wide ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/apac/product/flower/70018078)).
## In the garden
The strong stems and pink flower spikes work as vertical accents in sunny borders and as cut stems for arrangements. Syngenta gives an expected vase life of 12–15 days and marks the variety pollinator friendly. *Antirrhinum majus* is a short-lived perennial generally grown as an annual; NC State Extension describes the species as suitable for borders, containers, and cutting gardens ([NC State Extension](https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/antirrhinum-majus/)).
## Growing conditions
Grow in full sun or light afternoon shade in hot areas, with moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Water during dry spells because snapdragons have low drought tolerance. Avoid wetting foliage late in the day; the species can be affected by rust and other fungal problems. Kew places *A. majus* in Plantaginaceae ([Plants of the World Online](https://powo.science.kew.org/taxon/urn:lsid:ipni.org:names:799180-1)).
## Maintenance
Remove faded spikes to maintain a tidy display and possibly encourage another flush. Provide support if tall stems lean, and water near the base so foliage can dry quickly.
