Create design onlineAbout Snapshot™ Rose Snapdragon
Snapshot™ Rose is a dwarf garden snapdragon with compact, bushy plants and closely spaced rose-colored flower spikes. PanAmerican Seed lists this PAS409648 cultivar for early spring, spring, and autumn displays; its upright plants are about 8–10 inches tall and 10–12 inches wide.
## Garden use and season
Use it near the front of mixed borders, in small containers, or grouped for a dense seasonal display. Its modest spread allows close spacing; the breeder recommends 6–8 inches between plants. The cultivar is sold as a rose color, while the source does not define a precise hue or color pattern. [Ball Seed](https://info.ballseed.com/PlantInfo/?phid=057704570004669) lists fragrant flowers for this exact cultivar.
## Siting and care
Snapdragons perform best in cool weather. Give this cultivar sun and moist, well-drained soil; species-level guidance allows full sun to part shade and cautions that snapdragons languish in summer heat and have low drought tolerance. Keep foliage dry when watering where practical, since rust and other fungal problems can affect snapdragons. The species is bee-pollinated, and extension sources list butterflies and hummingbirds among its visitors. ## Maintenance
Water to keep the root zone evenly moist, especially in containers, without leaving the soil waterlogged. Remove spent flower spikes to encourage rebloom and limit overhead watering; monitor for rust, leaf spots, and mildew during damp weather. Treat it as a cool-season annual in hot-summer gardens.
