Arabis alpina 'Snowcap' is a vigorous, mat-forming evergreen perennial that creates a dense carpet of gray-green, toothed foliage. In early to late spring, it is transformed by a profusion of small, fragrant, four-petaled white flowers that completely cover the plant. Reaching only 6 to 8 inches in height, it is an ideal choice for rock gardens, stone walls, or as a ground cover in well-drained, gritty soils. It thrives in full sun and is notably drought-tolerant once established.
