About Walsh River Palm

Archontophoenix maxima, known as the Walsh River Palm, is the largest member of the King Palm genus. Native to the upland rainforests of Queensland, this solitary palm features a stately, ringed trunk and a crown of massive, arching fronds that can reach four meters in length. It is distinguished by its silver-scaled leaf undersides and exceptionally large, branched inflorescences. This fast-growing species prefers moist, fertile soils and is more cold-tolerant than other King Palms.
