Kinnikinnick Emerald Carpet

Arctostaphylos, commonly known as manzanita or bearberry, is a diverse genus of evergreen shrubs and small trees celebrated for their sculptural, mahogany-colored bark and twisted branching. These hardy plants range from prostrate groundcovers to upright specimens reaching twenty feet. They feature leathery, oval leaves and clusters of delicate, urn-shaped flowers in winter or spring. Thriving in well-drained soil and full sun, they are exceptionally drought-tolerant and vital for wildlife.
