Panchito Bearberry Manzanita

This naturally occurring hybrid from Colorado is a resilient, low-growing evergreen shrub reaching up to two feet tall and five feet wide. It features dense, matte green foliage that provides a lush backdrop for clusters of waxy, pink urn-shaped flowers in early spring. As it matures, the plant reveals striking exfoliating mahogany bark. Ideal for xeric landscapes and rock gardens, it thrives in well-drained, gritty soils and is exceptionally drought-tolerant once established. It is also deer resistant.
