About Madeira™ Deep Pink Marguerite Daisy

Madeira Deep Pink is the trade name for the Argyranthemum cultivar ‘Bonmadepi’, an upright, bushy marguerite with deep pink flowers and yellow centers. The [RHS profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/290346/argyranthemum-madeira-deep-pink-bonmadepi-madeira-series/details) recommends full sun and describes it as vigorous and suitable for pots; the Canadian cultivar record confirms the Bonmadepi identity and documents semi-double flowers and trial measurements. ## Siting and Soil Grow in full sun in fertile, freely draining soil. RHS lists chalk, clay, loam, and sand, with moist but well-drained conditions. It works well in a container or a sunny flower border, where its upright habit and pink daisies can be seen clearly. ## Seasonal Display The cultivar was selected for early flowering and floriferousness, and marguerites generally flower from late spring into autumn. Timing varies with climate and growing conditions; treat it as a tender perennial or seasonal bedding plant in cold-winter areas. ## Maintenance Deadhead faded flowers to extend the display, and pinch growing tips if a compact shape is wanted. Water in prolonged dry spells and protect the rootstock from hard frost, or move containers under cover.
