Horseradish Plant

Armoracia rusticana, commonly known as horseradish, is a robust herbaceous perennial that forms a vigorous rosette of large, coarse, bright green leaves. Reaching heights of up to three feet, this plant is primarily cultivated for its thick, pungent white taproots, which are harvested to create zesty condiments. It thrives in full sun and deep, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. While it produces small white flowers in summer, its spreading underground shoots can make it invasive if left unmanaged.
