Daydream™ Lavender Aster

Daydream™ Lavender is a named color variety in Syngenta’s New York aster line. The breeder identifies it as Aster novi-belgii, code 70018146, with lavender flowers in fall and a North American garden height of 16–18 inches and width of 20–24 inches ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70018146)). ## Form and Placement Use this selection in a sunny border or seasonal container display for late color. The breeder’s listed dimensions describe its garden-ready presentation; spacing may vary with container size, climate, and cultivation. ## Growing Conditions Provide full sun. General New York aster guidance also allows part shade and recommends moist, well-drained soil; avoid waterlogged conditions and leave air movement around plants ([Morton Arboretum](https://mortonarb.org/plant-and-protect/trees-and-plants/new-york-aster/), [Royal Horticultural Society](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/1768/aster-novi-belgii/details)). Syngenta lists this product in commercial potted-plant categories and gives no USDA zone on its North American profile. ## Maintenance Water consistently during active growth and flowering, allowing excess to drain away. Remove spent stems after the fall display and clear damaged foliage. Divide established clumps in spring only if kept as perennials and they become crowded.
