Henry™ I Purple is a purple, double-flowered selection in Syngenta’s Henry™ I series of New York asters. The breeder lists product 70018152 for fall garden flowering, with 16–18 inch height, 20–24 inch spread, and medium vigor ([Syngenta Flowers](https://www.syngentaflowers.com/ams/product/flower/70018152)).
## Form and Placement
The compact size suits a sunny perennial border or a container with enough room for a 20–24 inch spread. Syngenta calls its production crop very early-season; gardeners should use the separate fall garden flowering listing when planning color.
## Growing Conditions
Provide full sun. New York asters can also grow in partial shade, and general care guidance recommends fertile, moist but well-drained soil and good air circulation ([RHS species profile](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/1768/aster-novi-belgii/details)).
## Maintenance
Water consistently while plants establish and avoid winter waterlogging. Divide established clumps every few years to maintain vigor. Remove spent stems after flowering and keep air moving around foliage to reduce powdery mildew risk ([RHS Aster growing guide](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/aster/growing-guide)).
