‘Visions in White’ is a compact Chinese astilbe with upright creamy-white flower plumes and green, divided foliage. The clump-forming perennial brings a bright summer accent to woodland edges and partly shaded beds where the soil remains moist.
## Garden use and season
Plant it in groups for a pale drift among ferns and broad-leaved shade plants, or use it in a container with regular watering. The [patent record](https://patents.google.com/patent/USPP18965P2/en) confirms the cultivar name and describes sturdy upright growth, white flowers, and summer flowering. [Pleasant Run Nursery](https://www.pleasantrunnursery.com/plant-name/Astilbe-chinensis-Visions-in-White) lists the same cultivar and reports summer bloom with glossy green foliage.
## Growing conditions
Provide partial shade and moisture-retentive, humus-rich soil; Astilbe flowering and foliage quality decline when the root area dries. Patent observations distinguish the foliage height from the taller flowering stems, so the white plumes can rise above the low mound. Plant it near the front of a woodland border where the flowers are easy to see.
## Maintenance
Water regularly through dry weather and during establishment. Cut spent stems back when you want a tidier bed, or leave them for texture until spring. Remove old foliage as new growth appears and divide clumps if they become crowded.
