Create design onlineAbout Burgundy Manor Masterwort
Burgundy Manor is a clump-forming masterwort with deep red, pincushion-like flower heads and wine-toned bracts. This repeat-flowering perennial has an upright, bushy outline and works well in cottage borders, woodland edges, and cutting gardens.
## Flowers and Garden Use
The Royal Horticultural Society describes large deep-red flowers and repeated flowering; Little Prince of Oregon Nursery notes ruby-red flower heads with persistent wine-colored bracts. The plant’s starry umbels give it an intricate look in mixed borders, while the stems can be cut for arrangements.
## Siting and Size
Plant in full sun or partial shade in rich, moist soil with good drainage. Allow room for a mature clump roughly 2 feet wide. The recorded height and USDA zone range are consistent with the available cultivar listings; RHS gives a broader mature height range.
## Maintenance
Water during establishment and dry spells. Remove spent flowers before seed ripens if you want to limit self-seeding; otherwise, the old heads can remain until they lose their appeal.
