Axcent™ Burgundy is a named Aubrieta hybrida cultivar in Syngenta’s Axcent series, identified by product number 70052187 in the breeder’s catalog page. Syngenta identifies Axcent™ Burgundy as Aubrieta hybrida, an early-spring mounding selection for full sun. The breeder lists its compact garden dimensions and marks it pollinator friendly. Burgundy is a low accent for a sunny rock garden, wall edge, raised bed, or the front of a border with excellent drainage.
## Placement and growing conditions
Give this aubrieta full sun, or light shade where afternoon heat is intense. It grows best in soil that drains freely; RHS recommends neutral to alkaline, well-drained conditions for Aubrieta and lists chalk, loam, or sand for its plant profiles. Avoid persistently wet soil. Water new plants through establishment, then adjust to rainfall and soil drying rather than maintaining constant moisture.
## Seasonal care
The Axcent series flowers in early spring and forms a tight mound. A light trim after bloom can restore a clean outline if stems become loose. RHS notes that Aubrieta can be susceptible to aphids, leaf and bud eelworms, flea beetles, and white blister, so inspect plants when growth shows damage.

## Maintenance
Maintain free drainage and trim lightly after flowering only when needed to keep the planting edge tidy.
