About Glacier™ Rose Aubrieta

Glacier™ Rose is a compact, mounding Aubrieta in the later-flowering Glacier series. Its rose-colored spring flowers and low evergreen mat make it useful along sunny path edges, in rock gardens and wall crevices, or at the front of a mixed border. ## Identification and season The [Syngenta Glacier catalog](https://online.flippingbook.com/view/385524371/68/) lists Glacier Rose among its Aubrieta hybrida color selections and places Glacier flowering about two to three weeks after Axcent, with March–April flowering in the catalog’s EMEA schedule. The [RHS Aubrieta trial](https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/trials-awards/ongoing-plant-trials/aubrieta-arabis-aurinia) describes garden Aubrieta as forming colorful spring carpets and recommends free-draining sites. The production record identifies this specific plant as Glacier Rose, product 70094869. ## Siting Grow in full sun in soil that drains well, such as a gravelly border or raised rock garden. Allow room for the mat to widen; avoid winter wet around the crown. Aubrieta can tolerate some dry weather after establishment, but extended heat and drought can stress plants, so water during prolonged dry spells. ## Maintenance After flowering, trim lightly to keep the mat compact and clear faded growth. Water newly planted specimens through establishment and monitor them during long dry periods.
